    Hello Dr. and thanks for the comment. I too share your concern. One of the main goals behind my shows is education of the public to just such issue’s. The doctor you see Interviewed here is on staff at UNLV and teaches, Sedation. You and I both know there are professionals in every area of the medical/dental arena, that the public would be better served if the professional had chosen another career path. We strive to expose the public to the very concerns you expressed.

    As an anesthesiologist, I have watched this catch on in my state (Illinois). I even was good friends with a dentist who undertook a 4 day course to offer the oral sedation (Halcion/triazolam). I am concerned that non-medical physicians are offering deeper states of sedation, with no medical residency training. Worse still, many times the same individual is providing dental treatment AND the anesthesia – which really means the patient is being poorly monitored, or monitored by an untrained tech.
